At Yorktown Vineyard, we value young people! It is our goal that kids learn and experience Jesus for themselves. We want Sunday mornings to be one of the best experiences of your child’s week. Our exciting, interactive and imaginative lessons are designed to reveal the love of Jesus to your children and challenge them to live it out daily. It is our desire that every child come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We are also committed to partnering with parents to see a spiritual transformation in each child. All Children’s Ministry volunteers are carefully screened and trained to minister to your children. Children worship with their parents during the first part of the service. Upon the completion of the whole group worship time, children are dismissed to their appropriate class.

Children of All ages are welcome to our church.  We have a nursery available during the worship service for the youngest children, a Pre K / Elementary class, and middle school program.

Nursery (ages 0-3)

Our nursery is well equipped to engage very young children in God's word through songs, stories and activities. The room is adjacent to the Sanctuary, giving close and easy access during services. Across from the Nursery is a bathroom equipped with a changing table. Experienced members of the congregation take turns nurturing these precious babies and children while parents attend the service.

Children’ s Sunday School (ages 4-12)

Children are in a classroom environment learning God's word through bible stories, following a hands on arts and crafts that allows them to fully comprehend and apply the bible story to their daily lives. The Sunday class experience provides them with a great Christian foundation equipping them to fully understand the essentials of Christianity.

Youth Ministry (ages 13-17)

Co-Lead by Carmen Rivera and Jackie Longobardo, the youth meet in a group setting, where the lessons are prepared and discussed with an open bible at hand to help them search and familiarize themselves with the Word. Relationship, openness, trust and relevance opens the doors to these growing hearts, and this class provides a safe haven to discuss the things that arimportant to them and get direction.

Carmen Rivera, Director of the Children's Ministry
, h
as been serving the Lord for twenty years and the Lord has blessed her with four beautiful children and a wonderful supporting husband. She loves to study the bible to become enriched with His knowledge and wisdom. Her greatest passion and enjoyment is to express God's love and word to the children and the youth. I take great honor in sharing and teaching God's word to the nexgeneration making sure that they understand how important it is to know God's word so they can apply it in their lives as they get ready to explore the world.
